Hungary weather between the four seasons is very different.  January is normally the coldest month, with the mean temperature being -4 C to 0 C, while the hottest months are July and August, with temperatures ranging from 18 C to 23 C.  The daily temperature can fluctuate a lot due to the three climatic zones influencing Hungary weather. The annual average temperature is approximately 12 C, the maximum is about 36 C, and the minimum is around -14 C.

Hungary is located the point where the continental, Atlantic and Mediterranean oceanic climatic zones meet.  Hungary weather is therefore characterized by a temperate continental climate which is influenced by the above factors.  The temperatures in Hungary range from -14° C to 36° C throughout the year.

In Hungary, the spring comes with lots of showers and it usually begins in April.  Hungary weather during the summer is normally dry and warm. Autumns are cool, foggy and rainy. Winters are rather short, cold and generally dry, but they can also sometimes be pleasantly sunny.  Snow is expected to fall during the winter, but it melts quite quickly.

The annual precipitation is about 415 mm, and most of it occurs during early summer and autumn.  More rain usually occurs in the western part of the country than the eastern part, where droughts may take place during the summer. However, the distribution and the frequency of rainfall are quite unpredictable. 

The annual sunshine hours vary from 1900 to 2500, which is among the highest in Europe. In Hungary weather from April to the end of September, the sun will usually shine approximately 10 hours a day.

The average wind speed is 2.4 m/sec annually.
